Let's have a moment of silence for the demise of our YouTube channel! We stand accused of posting "graphic sexual content" (which we've never done). We always knew that this could happen without warning at any time, since it's not as though YouTube has ever been able to claim a rational policy with respect to mainstream DiD content: their view is that scenes with zero sexual context can magically become "graphic sexual content" if you put enough of them in the same place. It's the kind of logic we expect from school boards in the deep South trying to figure out which books to ban from the school library, not from the world leader in streaming video. But for the moment, it is what it is.
This won't affect what we do here on the site in the slightest, except that we're going to need to take a hard look at the weekly recap videos: they require several valuable hours each week to put together, and without YouTube on board, our audience for them is considerably diminished. But we'll stick with them for a bit longer and see how it goes.
On a brighter note, we'd have to say that this was a standout week for contributions, requests, and upgrades, wrapping up yesterday with FakeForger's edit of Michelle Belegrin's terrific four-episode kidnapping sequence on Desire. (It might not be "graphic sexual content," but as telenovela scenes go, it's definitely right up there on the spiciness scale!)
