A funny thing happened on the way to the feature (rest in peace, Mr. Sondheim).

A couple weeks ago, we were gearing up to publish the second half of our Back Streets/Arka Sokaklar flood. Then, without warning, literally all of our associate contributors chose to send us fresh edits that deserved priority.

This week, we fought back. "Gotta get that weekend feature up," we figured, so we charged ahead with the Arkaflood.

But our contributors didn't rest. You'll see some of their contributions here (including quite a few from Joker), but as of next week, we'll be going all out with the great stuff they've been sending.

In the meantime: if you've never checked out one of our birthday playlists, this might be a great time to do so, because I'd have to say that the December 7-13 lineup is one of the best we've ever posted. With names like Jennifer Carpenter, Kim Basinger, Teri Hatcher, Donna Mills, Mädchen Amick, and Sheree J. Wilson all on the list, it was probably going to be a pretty good week regardless...but the lesser-known actresses on the list have starred in scenes for the ages as well, and we're delighted as always to round them up for you.
