Tell us truly: what DiD fan doesn't like a good suspension scene? Oh, we're sure such folks are out there, but there can't be many. It's not as though these are easy scenes to pull off, from a rigging or safety perspective, so we're ever appreciative of the cast and crew who made them happen!
The competition for our 20 available playlist slots got pretty brutal, and we had to leave off a few favorites that can be found on the site, like Charisma Carpenter's famous "cow" scene from Angel, and striking double-damsel scenes from Stan Lee's Lucky Man and Birds of Prey (2020). (Don't worry, Harley Quinn fans: we couldn't possibly omit Margot Robbie's wild scene from The Suicide Squad.)
We also decided to leave out the entire Flower and Snake franchise, whose track record of insanely committed suspension scenes could have filled up a third of the playlist all by themselves. But that shouldn't be a problem, since we've already given that franchise a couple features of its very own.
In the end, we'd have to say that we were left with all killer, no filler, including legendary scenes that every DiD fan knows—along with some more obscure gems that they really should. We even included a brand new 1080p edit of one of the most famous suspension scenes of them all: Catherine Oxenberg (and her white undies) in The Lair of the White Worm.
And now, so as not to leave you hanging: on to the playlist!
