It's been a while since we posted a genuinely long-running soap sequence. And while our record in that department is (and may always be) the 16-episode tour de force from Luz do sol (aka Sunshine), featuring Luma Costa and three other damsels, this impressive 12-episode 2016 sequence with Camila Sodi and Laura Carmine gives it a solid run for its money.

Fans of cleave gags, arms-over-head ties, gloating female captors, and/or strenuous escape attempts that almost succeed should find a lot to like here. It's also the only storyline we can think of in which the villainess kidnaps her own sister, only to end up kidnapped herself.

And did we mention the dog? Good boy! Well, maybe not so good—or terribly bright—but it's always nice to see our four-legged friends getting work.
